UNIT FOR THE ISOLATION AND PROTECTION OF LABORATORY ANIMALS

Ideal for:
Mice, rats and rabbits genetically modified,
microbiologically inoculated, Immunologically depressed, etc...
Three different configurations available:
- All floors with the same air supply, the aire is shared among all the animals inside.
- Each floor have an independent air supply.
- Stackable individual modules, each one with its own air supply, you decide how many
floors you need.
Working principle
The units can be configured to work under positive
(animal protection) or negative (user protection) pressure.
- Positive
pressure:
The air is taken from the environment prefiltered through a high retention washable filter
(95% for 5µm) and sterilized by means of an ULPA filter (efficacy of the 99.9997% for
0.3µm), said air is given to the animals with a ratio of 20-25 recirculation per hour,
once swept the zone of storage of animals the air filters for a washable filter of
retention of particles (95% for 5µm) and it is expelled to the exterior. An interior
overpressure of between 2 and 4 mm of water column is always maintained.
- Negative pressure:
The air is taken from the environment, prefiltered through a filter of discharge retention
(95% for 5µm) and given to the animals with a ratio of 20-25 recirculation per hour,
once swept the zone of storage of animals the air is filtered through a washable filter of
retention of particles (95% for 5µm), sterilized by means of an ULPA filter (efficacy of
the 99.9997% for 0.3µm), and expelled to the exterior. It always maintains an interior
underpressure of between 3 and 5 mm of water column.
Construction:
- Module for the storage of animals:
- Structure on welded PVC
- Dismountable windows in frame of PVC and transparent panel of
Plexiglas.
- Support module.
- Manufactured of steel painted in epoxy of high resistance to the laundry and the
abrasion.
- Motor blower of low level of noise and high yield.
- High efficacy ULPA filter (99,9997% for particles of 0.3 µm).
Electronic control of the speed of the motor.
- Washable prefilter with high retention (95% at 5µm) capability
- Electronic control of the motor blower
Optional equipment
- Secondary storage unit without motor. Uses de capabilities of the main units (designed
to do that)
- Programmed illumination system composed by:
- Blind dark doors
- Independent chronometers for each floor.
- Digitally controlled heating system
- Additional odors filtration with activated charcoal.
